London City Airport is very nice: small, clean, empty security queues. I’m rather surprised about the free space I can see in the building – it appears millions of flights have been cancelled from Heathrow. Thought they’d all run over here.
I’m on my way home from a theatrical weekend. We were rehearsing in the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre all day. It snowed yesterday by the way but the news has probably dramatized that already.
The best remedy for that is Korean spicy food. Which is what I had yesterday.
Today I’ve been a lion, a hen, a cockerel, a wild horse, another flock of birds, an aquarium, a kangaroo and a fossil. Not quite so accurate technically. Quite a lot of my playing sounds like a scramble. But I think it was worth it, dropping out of my violin classes.
Can’t wait for next week. Doing it all again on Friday and Saturday. Twelve musicians, four actors, lots of energy and silly faces. Maybe some more stolen cutlery along the way.
