February 8th 2013 – Spring Half Term

Yay! Home sweet home. A few photos from the week:

Mother gave me seaweed, but not just plain salted seaweed. I was treated to a wasabi flavoured packet this time – you can imagine my surprise when the taste hit my tongue and the fire seared through my nostrils.Photobucket Pictures, Images and PhotosI wish this food was given to me earlier in the week. It would have helped me survive a school concert which took place in the freezing cathedral. Bach Gavottes (Orchestral Suite No. 3) are very hard to play with unresponsive knuckles, especially right after singing in chamber choir:

Afterwards, my Roozle (roommate) and myself bought two large packets of Dairy Milk chocolate with varying textures; one was the ‘traditional square block’ and the other was this unfamiliar “bubbly” sort. It has probably been in the shops for ages without me noticing:

There was some debate over the brand of the chocolate we wanted to buy. In the end the £1 deal pretty much swayed us – why is Lindt so ridiculously dear? – and the fuss was just a humorous opportunity for me to embarrass myself in front of the till dude. Ah well, we were satisfied after eating a packet and a half of chocolate:

My task of the February holiday: completing my coursework. This isn’t actually too daunting since the feedback on the rough drafts hasn’t been particularly soul-destroying. What I am really dreading (and looking forward to) is Valentine’s Day – not because I have one date but because I have two!

Don’t get excited or worried. My ‘dates’ are actually consultation lessons with violin professors, so they might not be very sweet. Scary, perhaps? This Valentine’s Day is a perfect ‘romantic’ trip to London. I hope they go well. I don’t even know why I chose that day; I didn’t even register its symbolism.

I am also starting driving lessons next Saturday. Beware, people.
